What was the highlight of Sercotel Porta Barcelona
Good, but could be better
Room was good, parking in the vicinity of the hotel was easy and free during the weekend, nearby the hotel there are a couple supermarkets and a fair amount of restaurants. Bathroom did provide enough towels and toiletries.
Room was soundproof towards the street / road but not towards other rooms or corridor. AC was either broken or just a fan - luckily could open the window at night for some fresh air. Cleanliness was not bad but had room for improvement. Same as overall facility maintenance.

What was the highlight of Sercotel Porta Barcelona
Good
Cheap deal for Black Friday. The room was a good size, the bed was comfy and the bathroom clean. The location was convient for our needs. The fact there was a gym and a carpark. The front desk staff were accommodating when there were problems and when we highlighted that the hotel website clearly stated that the carpark cost €11 per day even though on the spot they said it was €14, they altered our invoice.
The heating wasn't working in the rooms on the first floor but staff changed to another floor where it was working, although noisy to start off with. The carpark is badly conceived and a simpler way of entering (for example linked to driving licence) instead of waiting for staff to answer the bell and open the gate.

Very Good
Clean room, friendly staff and good location.
The room was really hot and although it says Air con is included when booking, it wasn't working for the duration of our stay.
